Weight Gain Verses Muscles Gain

November 5th, 2008

What is the different between weight gain and muscle gain?

I do occasionally measure my weight in gym. But recently I’m not so particular about the figures that I get. Why is that so? Hey…. isn’t it better to gain more muscles rather than fat? I guess fat is easy to burn for me. All I need to do is just cut down my food intake. But then, to built those muscles, it requires lots and lots of hardwork. What I’ve been thru for those muscles……

  • All those sweats dripping when working out in all those classes that I attended. Classes such as Body Pump, Body Combat, RPM, ABS and Fitball. Oh ya, I also go for belly dancing class but then it is more for leisure. Don’t find that class good enough for full workout.
  • Bearing all those muscles aching… the ooohhh and the aahhh that we have to go thru but still bear with it. Pushing those aching muscles back in our mind and pushing our limits to the max.
  • Working out at least 3-4 times a week. Need to ensure constant and full workout.

No matter how tired I’ve been or how stressful work has been, I’ve always find time to go for my workout. I guess it has become a habit. But then, hey it’s a good habit and I’ve yet to regret it till now.

How do I know that what I’ve gain are muscles and not weight? Remember the Juvanex I took?  Before and after the program, there’s not much differences in the weight measurement. But I pushed myself more in going for workout when I took the Juvanex and I made sure I maintained those workout . Food wise, it has been a lot of vegi and I’ve also reduce my food intake. Muscles wise, more firm and of course body ache also more;) I guess to gain those muscles one have to suffer and bear with those aches. I can feel the differences when wearing my clothes but than in measurement, there’s not much different.

That is why even my weight measurement has gone up, I have no objection cause I know I’ve spend a lot of time, effort and sweat working on those muscles.  Hey…. it shows when one put in 101% effort in working out.;)

Body Combat Release # 37

November 5th, 2008

Has been a long time since I’ve attended Body Combat class. Started to attend on Tuesday cause got to prepare myself before attending the Body Combat launching.

Outcome??? Don’t think I can move my elbow to my back right now. This J (a quite new instructor) is different as he goes round every corner to make sure we punch and kick the right way and with 101% effort. Well, when the instructor stand right in front of you, face to face and said  ”I WANT MORE !!!!” You can expect those unused muscles stretch to the max to punch and with all effort. Ah well… consequences of not attending Body Combat class for quite sometime. I guess now is payback time.

I’m glad I decided to attend the Body Combat launching. Now I know what my friend meant by the new release being more challenging. Love the new release especially the ‘Esquiva’ cause I don’t need to jump a lot. I just need to stretch more on my legs and punch harder. Guess all those workout in the ABS and Fitball classes does help.

Am now wondering if I’ll be able to last till Friday thou. Have been attending gym daily since Monday. Now with my back aching badly, I’m also wonder how to attend my belly dancing class.  Am I gonna dance like a robot???Hehe….still wondering :)

Juvanex 7-Day Detox

November 3rd, 2008

Finally my Juvanex Detox program has ended.

In fact this is the 2nd time I’ve done the detox program with Juvanex. I started 6 months ago and I’m happy with the result.  As I usually eat a lot, I definitely need to get rid of the toxic in my body.

But this time round, the effect is different compare to the first time I took my Juvanex.

1st Time Juvanex Intake :-

  • Day 1 to Day 3 - Mild diarrhoea, frequent to toilet, fatigue, lethargic, coated tongue and metallic taste in mouth
  • Day 4 to Day 7 - Getting better, more energetic, fresh and lighter self

2nd Time Juvanex Intake :-

  • Day 1 to Day 4 - Frequent to toilet, slightly coated tongue but still energetic to go gym.
  • Day 5 to day 7 - Fatigue, lethargic, had skin rashes, migraine attack and diarrhoea

Will I continue taking Juvanex the next 6 months? OF COURSE !!!

No doubt there’s some effect involved when taking Juvanex but then there’s the sign that it is working and very well too. Now felt lighter and stomach not that bloated. Well of course stomach also slimmer;)

DON’T MESS WITH ME !!!

October 29th, 2008

A habit that is hard to break.

Those who knows me well will know when I have the “DON’T MESS WITH ME” looks, it means …….

MOODY + TIRED + SLEEPY + HUNGRY

The combination of all those 4 items above really does make me the most unhappy person around. Trust me, no one will want to go near me when that happen. Don’t mind the sleepiness or even when overtired. But to combine all with hunger, you’ll not get to see a single smile from my face. Might even get to see me frowning all the time. Still remember my friend once call me prune face.

Realised today I went in and out of gym without a single smile and with a not too happy face. But then, I’ve been trying to change my diet. More on vegi and less on meat. Guess get hungry faster.:(

Anyway, after the workout, it does make a different. A sudden realisation that I’ve been having the “DON’T MESS WITH ME” look. Hehe…. guess now I know why when my instructor was about to speak to me but then suddenly changed his mind. My looks must have scared him off……

Hardest Thing To Break

October 24th, 2008

Found myself agreeable with this email that I received. Hence, I’ll like to share with all my friends.

What is the hardest thing to break?
Diamonds are hard to find but not hard to break.
What is the hardest thing to break then?
The answer is: HABIT !
If you break the H, you still have A BIT.

If you break the A, you still have BIT.
If you break the B, you still have IT!!!
Hey, after you break the T in IT, there is still the ‘I’.
The person at the end of the day, is the root of all the problems.

Now, I know why HABIT is so hard to break.
Its destiny is in its name.
The word itself.

I do agree that HABIT is hard to break but then it is not impossible. Nothing is impossible if there is a will. A matter of how strong the will is.
There are 2 types of HABITS. The good and the bad one.  So remember to keep the good habit and get rid of the bad one. A matter of trying is the most important action. All talks and no action will, of course show ZERO result. A friend of mine have proven to me that all those action taken, the control, the determination and the will does make a difference. I’ll take this opportunity to tell my friend that it shows and do keep up the good work…^_^. The supports are there at ALL TIMES.;)

Barber Shop

October 23rd, 2008

What is the first impression we have for our barber shop?

My perception for barber shop was the good olden days whereby lots of kid (little boys) and guys will go there every month to cut their hair. But then, due to lots of competition especially with the unisex and professionals, I guess it is time for them to make some changes.

The first shop I’ve ever see with additional and exceptional services.

Check this out……

Saw the banner with the white wordings??? A first time for a barber to offer these exceptional services “BEAUTY PARLOR, FACIAL, FACE BLEACHING AND OIL MASSAGE“…..

And here I thought we do all that in a beauty salon where we pay lots of $$$ for that services. Wonder how much are they charging for those services. Anyone dare to try it out????? Me very unlikely… hehe.

BACK UP

October 22nd, 2008

Recently with so many cases of snatch thieves reminds me that it is better to back up our most important item….. Guess What ???????

Of course our “handphone infos“….. contacts, photos, personal details which we have key in into our handphone. I guess the most important detail among all will be our contacts cause our usual way of keeping a new contact will be thru our handphone. Ever see anyone still carrying a phone book to keep track of those phone numbers???? Haha…. can’t imagine that since it has been ages since we do that. Guess the only thing which we can do is to keep a back up in our computer or back up in our phone SIM card so that our service provider will have a back up just in case the phone is stolen or lost. Oh ya, got to make sure to arrange with the service provider to ensure that they back up those contacts thou.

In fact come to think of it, if we lost our driving license, ID, credit card etc, it is still possible to redo all of that. Well, just a bit of time consuming and troublesome, not to mention some charges which we will have to pay but it is still possible to redo all that. BUT if we ever lost our handphone or if our handphone got stolen, the only thing we can’t get back will be our contacts which we have key in into our phone and NO WHERE else. Frankly, who will ever write down those contacts into their phone book???? Don’t think I’ve meet anyone who still do that. So best to back up those contacts once in a while to ensure all contacts will not be lost…

How important is our handphone to us ??? I believed some of you might even drive all the way back home just to get your handphone if left at home. That’s because without those phone nos, even if you have an office phone, you’ll never be able to contact the person you wanted to. Why ??? Cause we never memorize those phone nos and we don’t need to dial those digits. Shows how useful our handphone has been to us. So better be safe then sorry…………

Nickname???

October 21st, 2008

Dust Collector???? Haha… I guess someone must have been impatient to wait for her friends to blog more… More blogs to read verses more stress to release???? Glad I’m not the only one with that nickname thou.. hehe.

Recently, I’ve been spending more time in Facebook (FB) rather than my Friendster (FS). That’s why I’ve been neglecting FS. Sorry FS “Kow Tau”. Even though FB has been giving me shits once a while but I still go back there often. Humm…. WHY??? Guess FB has been getting more and more popular. Can see most of my friends updating their stuffs in FB daily rather than in FS. Easier and faster updates too.. Still remember the time where I had to go thru all those hassle just to sign up with FB.

In fact talking about FB remains me that I’ve been a user for FB near to a year, minus the 15 days earlier.  How time flies……

Anyway back to FS and leave FB off my blog. If not, going to get distracted again.  There have been quite a few blogs which I’ve KIV but never got down to post it in my blog. Well, after a short while I sort of forget about what I wanted to blog about… Ya ya, I know it’s bad. Will “TRY” to put in more effort in my blog.

To Buy Or Not To Buy

September 29th, 2008

There have been times where all of us will think before purchasing some items. To buy or not to buy ?? Some people might have a higher impulse purchase where else some will give thorough consideration before purchasing the items they wanted. In another word, this group is called the practical buyer.

I guess I will now consider myself more of a practical buyer. No doubt there were times the impulse to purchase an unnecessary item is there but then the practical side of me will discourage myself to do so especially the pricey items.

Previously my practical side was quite weak. Whenever there’s sale I’ll grap a few of the items. No doubt it is a necessity items at the moment, it does not mean there is a need to purchase several. Now, I’ve learn to control myself not to give in the unneccesary impulse purchase especially when sale. How to I do that?

  • Prepare a shopping list if possible
  • List out the pro and con before getting the item (especially the pricey items)
  • The necessity of getting the item (usage? gonna use it lots or once in a blue moon?)
  • Check for more info before getting the item especially the pricey item (the usefulness of internet)
  • Never ever buy too many spare items even if there’s a sale going (becareful of the due date)

I’m only thankful I don’t go for branded items.. whew!!! If not by the time I learn about control, it might be too late……

Mamma Mia

September 28th, 2008 Tagged

Finally, the movie started last Thursday (25th September). A comedy movie which is a must for PESSOC members to watch as Mamma Mia was one of our favourite song which we have performed for a few of our concerts.

No doubt the story line is not that good but then the ABBA songs in the movie were great. Love all those songs and kind of getting addicted to it.

Can listen to all my favourite songs thru the link :-

I have been laughing none stop when i watched the movie. Although there’s some who might think that the scene’s a bit over the top but then I’ll just say that it’s a funny and hilarious movie which can help to relax after a stressful day.  No doubt some review said Pierce Brosnan’s singing needed more practices, but I think he just doesn’t have the singing voice. Ahhh well, not all movie is perfect. But then those hot chics in the movie can sure shake !!!!.  Want to know more? Then go check out the movie… :p
